Pictures make it real

I'm really lucky to have talented, passionate friends with big hearts. Amy Badgett is one of those people. She is a photographer -- check it out here -- and when I told her about The Ones Who Walk, she was more than willing to take photos for me. 

I asked her to hike with me one Saturday at Hanging Rock State Park. I grew up hiking there and if you ask, I'll name every trail because they are familiar paths. The park is close to home and was a great place for a leisurely hike full of conversation and photographing. 

This step was a meaningful one for me, and for this project. The photos will be used for the project Go Fund Me page and for this site. Seeing Amy's talent through these beautiful photos clarified my vision for my thru-hike. Her openness to support me gave me the confidence to share this project - a step I found difficult to take.
